Minutes 9/28/2005

Members Present:  Bill Colclough, William Doering, Thomas Gendreau, Mark Gibson, Jim Jorstad, John Mason, Mick Miyamoto, Ryan Paulsen, Keith Beyer on behalf of Mike Nelson, David Riley (Chair), Steve Senger, Gwen Straker, Mary Torstveit, Katie Van Roosenbeek

Consultants Present: Liz Hitch

1. Meeting called to order at 1:18 by David Riley.

2. A document entitled "Enrollment Past Projection Summary" was distributed. The document showed projected and actual enrollment data from Fall 2003 through Fall 2005.

3. Diane Schumacher presented information about enrollment targets. The target for next fall has not been chosen but the likely number is 8,500.

4. Discussion of enrollment and recruitment efforts. Issues discussed included

            - non-resident recruitment

            - multicultural student recruitment

            - attendance at college recruitment fairs

            - summer and J-term enrollment

            - retention of non-resident and multicultural students.

5. Meeting adjourned.
