Planning Planning and Budget Committee

Members Present:  Billy Clow, Bill Colclough, Kathy Elgin, Mark Gibson, Wayne Jacobsen, Jim Jorstad, Sandi Krajewski, Richard Mikat,  Petra Roter, Steve Senger, Mary Torstveit, Ken Winter

Consultants:  Provost Liz Hitch, Ron Lostetter

Excused:  John Mason

The meeting was called to order by Chair, Billy Clow.
 

               I.      Billy informed the committee that Wednesday, May 4, 2005 will be the last Planning and Budget meeting for the semester.
 

             II.      A draft copy of the Strategic Plan was handed out for review.  Billy will also send this to the committee members by e-mail.  Comments on the Plan should be e-mailed to Billy by Monday, May 2.

            III.      Provost Liz Hitch:

·        Welcomed to answer any questions the committee may have.

·        Liz said that the International Task Force presented a summary of their work and that it will be posted on the internet.
 

         IV.      Ron Lostetter:

·        Provided copies of a letter from Kevin Reilly regarding the “Charge for Provost/CBO Efficiency Study.” 

·        APBS is in limbo.

·        State travel service – using Orbitz

·        New academic building plan is progressing.  Liz commended the Chancellor, Ron, Joe Heim and Representatives for the excellent job they have done to keep this project on track.
