Planning and Budget Committee

Consultants:  Provost Liz Hitch, Sharon Radtke

The meeting was called to order by Chair, Billy Clow.
 

               I.      The Planning and Budget minutes have been posted on the internet. They are linked from the Faculty Senate (http://www.uwlax.edu/facultysenate/  and Budget http://www.uwlax.edu/budget/reductionhome.htm web pages. 
 

             II.      Provost Liz Hitch informed the committee that everything is in place to meet the new freshman entrance target.  The out-of-state is not looking as good.

            III.      Sharon Radtke distributed these documents:

a.      “Impact of Payplan on 2005-07 UW System Tuition”

b.      “University of Wisconsin System Distribution of 200 Administrative Staff Reduction” (for informational purposes only)

c.      April 15 is the only deadline that we are aware of for the budget reductions. 
 

         IV.      List of vacancies – Provost informed the committee that it is being worked on.  The Chancellor will be reviewing all options.
 

           V.      Billy stated that the Faculty Senate passed a resolution on the budget reductions.  Please contact Sibbie Weathers if you would like to receive a copy of this.
