The meeting was called to order by Chair, Dave Riley.

         I.      Provost Liz Hitch updated the committee on:

A.     Next fall’s extra section funding

B.     Proposals – tenure track positions

C.    Target numbers for next year

       II.      Ron Lostetter and Sharon Radtke presented handouts and information on:

A.     Comparison of Actual to Budgeted Revenue – Summer 2005

B.     Comparison of Actual to Budgeted Revenue - Fall 2005

C.    UW System Allocation of 2006-07 Utilities Funding

D.    FY 2007 New Base Budget Allocations from UW System

E.     Faculty Promotion Schedule

      III.      Recommendation (M/P/S)

In the interest of attracting and retaining the best qualified employees, the Joint Planning and Budget Committee recommends that both Instruction and Non-instructional Academic Staff be granted a minimum of 2-year rolling contracts after successful review and six years of continuous full-time UW-L employment.
