Members Present:   Bill Colclough, Kathy Elgin, Mark Gibson, Wayne Jacobsen, Jim Jorstad, Sandi Krajewski, John Mason, Richard Mikat, Matthew Spors, Steve Senger, Gwen Straker, Ken Winter

Consultants:  Liz Hitch,  Ron Lostetter, Sharon Radtke

Excused:  Billy Clow

The meeting was called to order by Steve Senger.

   I.            Billy Clow is out-of-town; therefore, there will be no chair’s report.

 II.            Ron Lostetter provided a document, “UW-La Crosse FY 05 Tuition Shortfall Funding Plan.”

a.      Governor’s presentation of the budget is scheduled for Tuesday, February 8, 2005.

b.      Ten-day figures will be available a couple days after the 10^th day.

c.      Questions/discussion followed.

III.            UW-L Summer 2005 SCH Plan (handout) by Ron

a.      These are the numbers we will use for AFIR

b.      There is a sub-committee working on ideas for summer – what needs to be done to build a successful program.

c.      Faculty by-laws and procedures on how we offer funding – summer session.  Should this originate at Faculty Senate? 

                                                              i.      Discussion followed.  Steve Senger requested that Faculty members talk briefly after this meeting.

 

   IV.      Steve Senger handed out a document, “UW-La Crosse Historical SCH by College Department Showing GenEd Credits.”

     V.      Ron talked about Section Relief:  next fall - $550,000

   VI.      Regents meeting is on February 10 and 11.

  VII.      CBO’s meet on February 17 and 18.

VIII.      Provost Liz Hitch updated the committee on UW-L’s enrollment for Fall 05.
