The meeting was called to order by Chair, David Riley.
I. Introduction of new committee member, Matt Paulsen, student.
II. Dave Riley drafted a letter (handout) to the Chancellor to update him on what the committee is working on. Communicate any changes/suggestions to Dave.
III. Ron Lostetter and Sharon Radtke were at a CBO meeting last week:
A. Utilities issues were discussed.
B. There was a positive discussion on tuition at the meeting. Non-resident rate could be set in December.
IV. Sharon passed out the following handouts:
A. Is outsourcing part of the solution to the higher education cost dilemma?
B. UW System 2005 Preliminary GPR and Total FTE
C. UW System New Freshmen and Transfer (Official/GPR) Enrollments

§ Provost Liz Hitch is on the Common Systems Review Group
V. Operational Efficiencies and Improvements
A. Graduate Enrollment Vijendra (VJ) Agarwal is working on different ways to improve graduate enrollment; involving more faculty. VJs goal is to meet with each program director. Discussion followed.
B. Summer and J-Term Enrollments Betsy Morgan presented an overview and is looking for ways to pull in more students; ie, targeting at K-12 teachers and incoming freshmen. Discussion followed.
VI. UW-La Crosse Tuition Revenue Estimates FY 06 (handout) Ron Lostetter will present information on this at our next meeting.
